RRD worked with the Owners of this 1920’s home to create open spaces that would accommodate a modern style of living, while retaining the feel and detailing of a home built almost 90 years ago. The use of white painted custom-built inset cabinetry, white beveled subway tile, and white Carrera marble countertops provide a clean and simple backdrop for the rich walnut island and dark oak floors. This house successfully provides traditional aesthetics with functional spaces.
This project won the Seattle Master Builders Association's Kitchen of the year award.
