Ryan Rhodes – Architect, Principal

Ryan was born and raised in the Seattle area and has a broad understanding of the natural, social, and political environments of this unique region.  He received both his Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Studies and his Master’s Degree in Architecture from the University of Washington in Seattle.  While at the University of Washington, Ryan spent a semester studying architecture in Rome, Italy.  Ryan Rhodes started his architectural career and practiced for over ten years with Sortun-Vos Architects before starting Ryan Rhodes Designs, Inc. in 2007.  Ryan doesn't prescribe to any one particular architectural aesthetic.  Rather, he believes that factors such as personality, site, environment, community and economics are the true informants of architectural character and style.  His ultimate goal is to create timeless buildings that not only embody the client’s goals and personality, but that also transcend often trendy architectural movements.  He has led numerous projects throughout the Pacific Northwest, as well as Alaska, Michigan and California.  In his spare time he enjoys spending time outdoors downhill skiing, fly fishing and camping.

Ryan is a licensed Architect in the State of Washington.
